Privacy policy
PitchMaths editorial team · Updated
PitchMaths is a static website: the pages are prepared in advance and served the same way to everyone. You cannot create an account here, there is no login, no comment section and no form that asks for your name or phone number. That keeps the amount of personal data we handle small. This policy explains what little there is.
Analytics cookies
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: which pages are read, roughly where visitors come from, what kind of device and browser they use, and which links are clicked, including the link to the bookmaker. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to tell one visit from the next. The reports we see are aggregated; we do not try to identify individual readers.
Google processes this data under its own terms and privacy policy. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, use a private window, or install the opt-out tool that Google offers for its analytics. The site works the same way without them.
Server logs
Like nearly every website, our web server keeps standard access logs: the IP address of the request, the time, the page asked for, the browser's user agent and the page you came from. We use them to keep the site secure and running, to spot abuse and automated traffic, and to count clicks on the bookmaker link. Logs are kept only as long as they are useful for those purposes and are not sold or shared for marketing.
Affiliate links
Some links on the site, marked as sponsored, lead to the bookmaker we recommend. When you follow one, you leave PitchMaths. The link tells the bookmaker that you came from us, so that a commission can be paid if you open an account. Anything you do on the bookmaker's site, including registration, deposits and bets, is covered by that company's own privacy policy and terms, not by this page. We do not receive your account details, your deposits or your betting history.
If you write to us at [email protected], we receive your email address and whatever you choose to put in the message. We use it only to read and answer your message, and we do not add you to any mailing list.
What we do not do
- We do not sell personal data.
- We do not run advertising networks that track you across other websites.
- We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18; the site is for adults only.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, data protection law may give you the right to ask what data is held about you, to have it corrected or deleted, or to object to its use. Because we hold no accounts, most data about your visit sits with Google Analytics and in short-lived server logs. For any question or request, email [email protected] and we will reply as soon as we can.
Changes to this policy
If the way the site handles data changes, for example if we add a new tool, we will update this page. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last changed. Related pages: terms of use, about us and responsible gambling.
